Room Service Waiter/Waitress (In‑Room Dining)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Waiter/Waitress for In‑Room Dining at Sofitel Dubai The Palm, a 5‑star beachfront resort on Palm Jumeirah. The role involves delivering food and beverage service directly to guest rooms, ensuring high standards of presentation, accuracy and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders from guests via phone or in person.
• Deliver orders promptly to guest rooms, ensuring accuracy and attractive presentation.
• Set up and clear dining areas in rooms, maintaining cleanliness.
• Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the menu, specials and dietary requirements.
• Process guest payments and handle cash or credit‑card transactions.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Prepare and arrange trays, carts and room‑service equipment.
• Restock and replenish room‑service items as needed.
• Assist with preparing condiments, utensils and beverages for service.
• Uphold hotel safety, hygiene and food‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Prior experience in food service, preferably room‑service.
• Strong customer‑service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.
