Rotational Support / Remote Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Rotational Support / Remote Mechanical Engineer to join its UAE business unit in Sharjah. The role provides day‑to‑day mechanical engineering support for site operations, ensuring safe, reliable and compliant delivery of oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate mechanical engineering support to resolve site‑based queries, activities and risk issues.
• Collaborate closely with the on‑site team and the Operations Engineering Manager to implement short‑term solutions.
• Identify longer‑term engineering improvements and forward them to the appropriate discipline to reduce risk and increase production.
• Support the maintenance, modification and engineering activities required for upstream and midstream projects.

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience supporting site operations in the oil & gas sector.
• Ability to work under direction of senior engineering management and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to safety, reliability and regulatory compliance.
