Technical Services Engineer – Aircraft Systems

About the role
The Technical Services Engineer – Aircraft Systems will ensure reliability and dispatch readiness of key aircraft systems across airline and third‑party fleets. The role focuses on flight controls, landing gear, pneumatic, hydraulic and air‑conditioning systems, providing rapid technical support during AOG situations and overseeing the implementation of Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
Key responsibilities
- Support engineering maintenance activities (Line, Hangar, MCC, CAMO) including performance review, request analysis, reporting and corrective actions.
- Liaise with airlines, OEMs and regulatory bodies on modifications, corrective measures and project initiatives.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis using data from multiple sources to determine aircraft efficiency and maintenance needs.
- Analyse technical performance reports to identify trends, propose solutions and proactive modifications.
- Recommend corrective measures, AMP inclusions/exclusions and provide supporting evidence.
- Review technical documents (TPM section 5) for modification/repair approval by CAMO management.
- Partner with Projects, Warranty, Legal and Finance to develop new projects, contracts and service level agreements.
- Assist line manager in creating procedures, specifications and Engineering Operational Standards (EOS).
- Provide guidance to MROs on mandatory modifications and required actions.
- Support closure of occurrence reports and audit findings and participate in internal and external meetings.
Required profile
- Bachelor degree in Aircraft Engineering, Electro‑Mechanical, Aeronautical or equivalent.
- Alternatively, a higher diploma or certificate in a related field from a recognized university or engineering college.
Required skills
- Knowledge of flight control, landing gear, pneumatic, hydraulic and air‑conditioning systems.
- Root‑cause analysis and data analysis.
- Technical document review (TPM section 5) and CAMO processes.
- Evaluation of Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB).
- Liaison with OEMs, regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.
- Project collaboration and contract/ SLA development.
