Safety Engineer – Coiled Tubing Operations

About the role

The Safety Engineer will support the Team Leader in managing HSE and Asset Integrity systems for pressure pumping operations. The role provides safety, asset integrity and environmental advice, develops procedures, delivers training and audits work practices in the coiled tubing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety orientation briefings for all incoming and departing personnel and brief arriving staff on emergency actions and muster stations.
• Assist in developing safety programs such as hazard identification, pinch‑point audits, DROPS, and working‑at‑heights plans, ensuring relevant manuals and safety publications are available.
• Deliver safety training sessions, supervise practical exercises, coordinate orientation programs and participate in emergency drills.
• Act as the lifting specialist on assigned locations and support preventive maintenance of life‑saving appliances and safety equipment.
• Perform regular audits of safety equipment, maintain record‑keeping systems and recommend repair or replacement of faulty items.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, environmental health, biology, chemistry, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum six years of HSE experience, including at least three continuous years in the oil/gas industry.
• Proficient computer and presentation skills.
