Safety Inspector

About the role

The Safety Inspector will ensure that all construction sites comply with local regulations, client requirements and Al Tayer Group safety policies. The role focuses on creating a safe working environment by monitoring safety equipment, procedures and personnel throughout project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect sites during the establishment phase and identify required safety equipment before work begins.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with government authorities, Al Tayer safety standards and project‑specific safety plans.
• Prepare and enforce site and equipment safety maintenance schedules.
• Ensure fire regulations are followed and emergency precautions are in place.
• Verify that all workers wear appropriate PPE for their tasks (e.g., goggles, helmets, harnesses).
• Carry out periodic safety audits, submit weekly reports to HSE and Project Engineers, and document accidents with corrective actions.
• Identify unsafe practices, issue non‑conformity reports, and follow up on corrective measures.
• Lead Toolbox Talks, provide safety and first‑aid training to staff and subcontractors, and participate in client safety meetings when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Construction Safety Engineering or an equivalent vocational safety qualification.
• 1–3 years of experience as a safety officer in construction, interior fit‑out or manufacturing environments.
