Sake Sommelier / Assistant Restaurant Manager (Japanese Speaker)

About the role

The One&Only The Palm Resort in Dubai is seeking a Sake Sommelier/Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Food & Beverage team. This role combines expertise in Japanese sake with leadership of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager with budgeting, profitability, and cost control.
• Maintain service standards, handle guest complaints, and ensure staff punctuality.
• Recruit, train, schedule staff, and conduct daily briefings and performance reviews.
• Oversee inventory, month‑end procedures, and implement cost‑saving measures.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, licensing laws, and health regulations.
• Collaborate with marketing on promotions and seasonal menus, monitor competitor activity, and drive revenue growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in restaurant or F&B operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Financial acumen for budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and deliver excellent customer service.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Experience using restaurant management software.
