Sales Director – Remote Enterprise Sponsorship

About the role

We are partnering with an established B2B events and insights business to find a Sales Director who will drive new revenue by selling sponsorship opportunities to senior decision‑makers at medium and large enterprises. This fully remote, hands‑on commercial role requires you to win business personally while laying the foundations for a high‑performing sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and close new enterprise sponsorship opportunities across the UK and US markets.
• Build and lead a sales function from scratch, scaling the team as the business grows.
• Manage the full sales cycle – from qualification and pipeline management to proposals, negotiations and closing.
• Establish repeatable sales processes and drive revenue forecasting and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven B2B SaaS sales experience selling to medium and large enterprises, with a track record of closing high‑value contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to discuss detailed performance metrics such as quota attainment, deal size, conversion rates and sales cycles.
• Experience in high‑growth scale‑up environments and international market expansion, particularly in the UK and US.

Required skills

• Mastery of the MEDDIC sales methodology.
• Familiarity with SPIN, Challenger selling or Great Demo! frameworks.
• Strong enterprise sales discipline and ability to engage senior buyers.
