Sales Engineer – Pumps & Projects

About the role

Epsilon Hydro is looking for a Sales Engineer – Pumps & Projects to develop and secure specified pump packages for construction and industrial projects across the UAE. The role covers water and wastewater, district cooling, and building services including HVAC and plumbing, with responsibility for opportunities from the design stage through tender to award.

Key responsibilities

• Track projects from concept and design stage using project intelligence sources such as MEED Projects, BNC Network, and Ventures Onsite, as well as direct consultant contact.
• Work with consultants and clients to get products specified and maintain vendor approvals with authorities like DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, ADDC, EtihadWE, ADNOC, and major EPC/MEP contractors.
• Select and size pumps against duty points, system curves, NPSHa/NPSHr, efficiency, and motor rating; prepare technical submittals, pump curves, and datasheets.
• Review tender documents, specifications, and BOQs and prepare technical‑commercial offers with clear deviation lists.
• Coordinate with principals and factories on pricing, lead times, ITPs, and special requirements.
• Negotiate with main contractors, MEP subcontractors, and end users; follow up on submittals, material approvals, and shop drawings through to order release.
• Manage order handover, delivery coordination, and support site inspections, testing, commissioning, and snag closure.
• Maintain project pipeline, forecasts, and activities in CRM; support collections and payment follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience selling pumps or rotating equipment into projects, including at least 2 years in the UAE or wider GCC.
• Established relationships with UAE consultants, MEP contractors, or end users.
• Working knowledge of relevant standards and commercial terms such as margins, payment terms, LCs, bonds, and contract conditions.
• Valid UAE driving licence and willingness to travel across all seven Emirates.
• Fluent English; Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or Malayalam an advantage.
