Sales Manager – China Markets

About the role

The Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Sales Manager dedicated to the China market. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Strategy, you will drive revenue growth by managing existing key accounts and acquiring new Chinese clientele for the luxury hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of key accounts in the China market, ensuring revenue maximisation and market‑share growth.
• Prospect and acquire new accounts across assigned Chinese regions.
• Conduct site inspections and present the hotel’s facilities to potential clients.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts, adhering to corporate SOPs and SMART contracting principles.
• Monitor and follow‑up on tentative bookings to convert them into confirmed reservations.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies with hotel revenue targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in hotel or luxury hospitality sales, preferably with a focus on the Chinese market.
• Proven track record in key‑account management and revenue generation.
• Strong understanding of Chinese business culture and fluency in Mandarin is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
