Sales Specification Engineer – Infrastructure

About the role

The Sales Specification Engineer will drive the specification and adoption of Bekaert’s steel fiber reinforcement solutions during the early design phase of infrastructure, tunnelling, precast, transportation and mega‑projects across the Middle East. Based in Dubai, the role focuses on influencing project specifications, supporting regulatory approvals and coordinating technical solutions with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Promote Bekaert steel fiber solutions to consultants, designers, owners and engineering firms during conceptual and detailed design phases.
• Secure inclusion of Bekaert products and performance‑based specifications in tender documents and track upcoming projects.
• Coordinate with technical teams to develop optimized steel‑fiber design solutions approved by authorities.
• Support structural design reviews, value‑engineering exercises and technical comparisons against conventional reinforcement.
• Lead product approvals, certifications and compliance activities with local authorities, municipalities and standards organisations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Experience in infrastructure, tunnelling, precast, construction materials, structural design or specification engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocode, fib Model Code, ACI and BS EN standards (preferred).
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel across the Middle East (≈50% travel).
