Science Teacher – Al Falah City

About the role

The International Community Schools are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher for their Al Falah City campus in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering the American curriculum to Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 students, fostering intellectual, social and emotional development. The successful candidate will join a collaborative faculty committed to high‑quality education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with American curriculum standards.
• Create a safe, supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and exploration.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
• Implement individualized strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful classroom culture and positive behaviour.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings and collaborative planning.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching practices to enhance learning outcomes.
• Support extracurricular activities and contribute to school events as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or Education, PGDE/PGCE preferred.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably with the American curriculum.
• Experience teaching Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 (early secondary) students.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within an international school community.

• Expertise in designing clear, focused, and achievable lesson plans.

• Excellent verbal and written communication for interaction with students, parents and colleagues.
