Science Teacher (Cycle 2 & 3) – Immediate Start

About the role

The school is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher for Cycle 2 and 3 students, to start immediately. You will deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons in a mixed‑gender primary environment and contribute to the school’s vision of a sustainable, innovative learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver science lessons that cater to the full ability range of the class.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and use data to inform future planning.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and external specialists such as speech therapists.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment, manage behaviour in line with school policy and act as a role model for pupils.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers about student achievement and wellbeing.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities and weekly ECA sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom English is an additional language.
• Clean enhanced DBS/police check.
• Demonstrated passion for whole‑child education and a professional attitude toward student welfare.
