Science Teacher - Immediate Start

About the role

Aldar Education, a family of schools in the UAE, is looking for a Science Teacher to join its growing network of schools. The position is available to start immediately and involves delivering lessons that inspire students to succeed while working with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements, catering to the whole ability range in the class
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources, and create displays that encourage a positive learning environment
• Observe and assess children in line with school assessments, and use assessment data to inform planning, provision and intervention
• Record student development using Target Tracker and give feedback to parents and carers at parent-teacher conferences
• Manage classes effectively, follow the school's behaviour policy and act as a positive role model
• Meet with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists where required
• Embed the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum
• Work in a curriculum action group, support school events and run a weekly ECA each term
• Communicate with parents and carers about student achievement and well-being using school systems such as CPOMS

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience
• Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check
• Respect for all members of the school community, regardless of position, gender, age and ethnic background
