Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging science lessons ensuring active learning for all students.
• Lead and participate in CAS activities, staff training, and contribute to school community development.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and comply with all school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and learning matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote the school within the local community and support enrolment targets.
• Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring it is inclusive, learner‑led and meets the school’s high attainment targets.

Required profile

• Credible teaching experience with a range of science teaching practice.
• Ability to lead engaging, relevant lessons that maximise student progress.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, families and the wider community.
• Initiative, flexibility, positivity and a proactive attitude.
• Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety and the school’s professional code of conduct.
