About the role

The Section Head of Allergy and Immunology leads the department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, overseeing clinical care, education, research, and operational performance. This senior physician role integrates Respiratory Institute services into the strategic plan and participates in the Medical Executive Committee.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, prescribe treatments, and perform procedures in allergy and immunology.
• Develop and implement the department’s strategic plan, vision, and policies for patient care, education, and research.
• Manage fiscal, operational, and human resource aspects, including budgeting, staffing, and resource utilization.
• Monitor quality metrics, clinical outcomes, and physician performance, driving continuous improvement.
• Participate in departmental meetings, inter‑departmental collaborations, and represent the unit on the Medical Executive Committee.

Required profile

• MD, MBBS or MBChB with a recognized specialty qualification in Allergy and Immunology.
• For Tier 1 physicians: minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience; for Tier 2 physicians: minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Board‑certified or equivalent international qualifications (e.g., American Board, CCT, Royal College, Facharzt) are preferred.
