Section Head – Electrical

About the role

The Section Head – Electrical will lead the electrical maintenance team at Emirates Steel Industries in Abu Dhabi, ensuring safe and efficient electrical services across multiple plants. The role involves planning and executing preventive, corrective and major repair activities, as well as troubleshooting unexpected breakdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise equipment availability by controlling unscheduled downtime and aligning with corporate objectives.
• Identify business risks related to electrical systems and propose technical solutions to senior management.
• Maintain a motivated workforce, nominate staff for safety and technical training, and ensure necessary competencies are developed.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance, coordinate with the Maintenance Planning Section and Condition Monitoring teams, and oversee work order classification.
• Prioritise maintenance requests, develop daily/weekly/monthly plans and allocate resources to sustain equipment availability.
• Prepare regular management reports, analyse maintenance data and support the development of action plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading electrical maintenance operations in an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies.
• Ability to assess equipment risks and recommend improvements.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional meetings and reporting.
