Security Officer - Dubai Hub Operations

About the role

Emirates Group Security is recruiting a Security Officer for its Hub Operations unit in Dubai. The officer supports the Security Controller in delivering effective security across Dubai Hub Airport and Cargo Operations, protecting aircraft, cargo, airport facilities and related operational areas. The role implements and monitors preventative security measures, responds to security incidents, identifies breaches and ensures adherence to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and national and international aviation security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor security measures across Hub Airport Operations, including aircraft, operational areas, gates, entrances and other controlled areas, in line with approved SOPs.
• Implement and monitor security procedures for Hub Cargo Operations, identify violations or breaches, escalate findings to the Security Controller and recommend corrective actions.
• Support aircraft protection through pre-departure and post-arrival security activities.
• Support the Security Controller in responding to security incidents, with appropriate escalation and coordination with stakeholders.
• Monitor adherence to security procedures, identify non-compliance and support corrective and preventive measures.
• Propose improvements to SOPs based on operational experience.
• Cooperate with Hub Operations stakeholders and government and private-sector partners on coordinated security operations and incident response.
• Support the development of security personnel through guidance, training and sharing of best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
• 5+ years of security experience.
• Experience in aviation security, including cargo security and loss prevention.
• Experience in a leadership role.

Required skills

• Professional or academic qualification in Aviation Security (AVSEC) is an advantage.
• Planning skills and experience implementing preventative security measures.
• Experience coordinating rapid incident responses and team training for skill development.
• Keeping up with the latest security practices and technologies.
