Senior Accountant - Budgeting and Reporting (GL)

About the role

ADNOC Schools, operated by Aldar Education, is looking for a Senior Accountant for budgeting and reporting (GL). The post is based at the ADNOC Schools headquarters and supports all four campuses. It is an immediate-start position in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Principals and the GL Accountant to make sure school financial reporting and budgeting needs are met.
• Support the Accounting Manager in meeting financial reporting deadlines, including budgeting and reporting cycles.
• Prepare monthly management reports at school level accurately and on time.
• Prepare departmental and school-wise MIS with variance analysis and review them with Principals each month.
• Standardize management reporting processes and templates, including school MIS.
• Track key deliverables across schools to keep timelines, accuracy and process improvements on track.
• Lead the project to automate MIS dashboards.
• Support finance modelling requests from management and take part in school-wise and consolidated budgeting and forecasting.
• Help Principals with budgeting exercises, finance modelling and cost initiatives.
• Meet ad hoc reporting requests from internal departments, ADNOC HQ and Aldar Education.
• Support the Senior Accounting Manager with presentation packs for management meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Professional qualification with relevant experience in budgeting and reporting.
• At least 3 years in a reporting and analyst role.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Attention to detail, ability to handle pressure and multi-task, deadline-oriented.
• Good interpersonal and analytical skills, with a forward-looking approach.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel with proven financial modelling experience.
• Hands-on experience with MS Office presentations and other reporting tools.
