Senior Accountant Finance And Reporting

About the role

Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting to lead end‑to‑end accounting operations, financial reporting, month‑end closing, reconciliations, budgeting and financial analysis. The role supports real‑estate development projects and ensures compliance with IFRS and UAE VAT.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities and deliver accurate financial statements.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow reports for management.
• Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, provisions and account reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and inter‑company transactions.
• Produce budget vs. actual reports, variance analysis and financial performance dashboards.
• Track real‑estate development costs, revenues and related project transactions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT and internal financial policies, and coordinate audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 + years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with a real‑estate developer in the UAE (mandatory).
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, CMA or CPA are an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Understanding of UAE VAT requirements.
