Senior Accountant - Intercompany & UAE Tax

About the role

A fast-paced, growing business in Dubai is looking for a proactive Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting across multiple entities. The role covers intercompany accounting and reconciliation, UAE tax compliance, financial reporting and month-end close, and supports external auditors and tax advisors. It is a full-time, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Intercompany accounting: reconcile intercompany transactions, investigate discrepancies, maintain clean balances and prepare reconciliation schedules for month-end and year-end close
• UAE tax: manage corporate tax filings and registrations, prepare and submit VAT returns on time, comply with FTA regulations and UAE accounting standards, and support auditors and tax advisors
• Financial reporting: prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements, run the month-end close (journal entries, accruals, prepayments), maintain the general ledger and produce management reports and dashboards
• AP and AR: oversee payments and collections, manage supplier and client reconciliations and follow up on outstanding invoices
• Banking and treasury: reconcile bank accounts across entities, monitor cash flow and coordinate with banks on payments
• UK accounting (mandatory): support UK entity bookkeeping and reporting; familiarity with UK GAAP, HMRC filings and Companies House is an advantage

Required profile

• Minimum 4-6 years of accounting experience
• ACCA qualified (must)
• Solid UAE tax experience (VAT and corporate tax); good to have
• Proven intercompany accounting and reconciliation experience (core requirement)
• Experience in a multi-entity or group structure
• UK experience desired
• Immediate availability or short notice

Required skills

• Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting principles
• ERP systems such as Zoho, Xero, QuickBooks, SAP or Oracle
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
