Senior Accountant

About the role

ABC Cargo & Courier is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead and enhance its finance function. The role involves overseeing daily accounting activities, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports on a regular basis.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audits and drive month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Maintain precise financial records using designated accounting software.

Required profile

• M.Com or higher qualification preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience within the UAE, with immediate availability.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• High accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally ERP, QuickBooks or SAP.
