Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting and support compliance with UAE tax regulations. This role works closely with finance, operations and audit teams to maintain robust controls in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and perform regular reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Handle UAE VAT calculations, documentation, returns and corporate tax compliance.
• Execute bank, vendor, customer and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing, including accruals, provisions and journal entries.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and calculate depreciation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and variance analysis.
• Oversee inventory accounting, costing, stock reconciliation and cost analysis for manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation.
• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, internal controls and UAE regulations.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and reporting accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial companies.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP or Oracle.
• Understanding of financial reporting, GL accounting, reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA) is an advantage.
