Senior Accountant

About the role

Innovo Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on scrutinising payment requests, petty cash claims and ensuring all expenditures are justified and properly documented.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify financial transactions, ensuring accurate account information.
• Audit supporting documents and substantiate financial entries.
• Develop and recommend accounting policies and procedures to maintain strong internal controls.
• Guide and coordinate accounting clerical staff, answering queries and overseeing daily activities.
• Analyse discrepancies, collect relevant data and propose corrective actions.
• Validate payment documentation and process disbursements for group companies.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and uphold customer confidence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting or corporate finance, preferably within GCC contracting firms.
• Proven ability to work independently and under supervision.
• Strong sense of confidentiality, discretion and excellent communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
