Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage and support our accounting operations across a multi‑branch retail environment. The role ensures accurate recording of financial transactions, timely reporting, and compliance with IFRS, company policies, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Conduct bank, customer, supplier, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing cycles.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and accounting schedules.
• Monitor expenses, receivables, payables and outstanding balances.
• Ensure accurate VAT, tax, and statutory reporting.
• Assist internal and external audit activities and maintain internal controls.
• Utilize ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics, for accounting and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, perfume, FMCG or multi‑branch environments.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
