Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with at least eight years of experience, preferably within a family‑owned business. The role covers daily accounting, payroll processing, overtime calculations, petty cash management, supplier payments, retail transactions, AP/AR, reconciliations, financial reporting and UAE VAT compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting records and transactions.
• Process monthly payroll, salaries, deductions and overtime calculations.
• Reconcile payroll with attendance, timesheets and approved overtime.
• Handle petty cash, supplier payments, AP/AR and bank reconciliations.
• Record and reconcile retail sales and cash collections.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
• Monitor expenses, cash flow and financial controls.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, HR and management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of accounting experience.
• Mandatory experience in a family‑owned business.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, overtime, AP/AR, petty cash, bank reconciliation and VAT.
• Proficiency in accounting/ERP software and advanced Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and organizational abilities.
