Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The role involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and other financial accounts.
• Prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and other financial regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Monitor and analyze costs, identifying improvement or cost‑saving opportunities.
• Evaluate accounting processes and recommend efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• CPA or CA certification (mandatory).
• 5–7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel (mandatory) and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
