Senior Accountant (Shipping Industry)

About the role

Clear Way Ventures LLC-FZ is recruiting an experienced Senior Accountant on behalf of a leading shipping company, based in Dubai. The role covers financial operations, reporting, reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, VAT documentation and audit coordination. The position is full-time and requires 6 to 8 years of UAE accounting experience within a shipping company.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations and keep accurate financial records
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and month-end and year-end closing reports
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
• Review shipping-related invoices, operational expenses and account allocations
• Monitor cash flow, supplier payments and outstanding customer balances
• Reconcile customer, supplier and intercompany accounts
• Coordinate VAT documentation, audit requirements and supporting financial schedules
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

Required profile

• 6 to 8 years of UAE accounting experience within a shipping company
• Diploma level qualification
• Strong understanding of shipping accounting, UAE VAT regulations and accounting principles
• Experience in month-end closing, cash flow monitoring and audit coordination
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines

• Financial reporting and account reconciliation
