Senior Accounts Officer

About the role

Blue Ocean Corporation is seeking a Senior Accounts Officer to lead daily accounting operations in its Dubai office. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations, and supporting month‑end and financial reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record all accounts payable, accounts receivable, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, receipts and other financial documents.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables, ensuring timely follow‑up.
• Assist with month‑end closing, financial statements, management reports and account schedules.
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns and ensure ongoing VAT compliance.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Coordinate finance‑related matters with suppliers, customers, banks and internal departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE accounting practices, VAT compliance and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to manage full‑cycle accounting and meet tight deadlines.
