Senior Analyst - SOC Monitoring

About the role

The Security Operations Centre (SOC) at CPX is a cross‑functional team that supports the entire application and service lifecycle. As a Senior SOC Analyst you will lead monitoring activities, analyse diverse log sources and respond to security incidents, helping to strengthen the overall security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Validate incidents escalated by Tier 1 SOC analysts and perform second‑level threat assessment.
• Research, analyse and correlate data from multiple sources to identify indicators of compromise.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to validate network alerts and communicate threat impact.
• Analyse log files, network traffic and evidence to uncover attacker tactics and techniques.
• Maintain and tune SIEM content, develop reports and dashboards, and monitor external threat intelligence feeds.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer‑service orientation.
• Highly analytical, ethical and dependable, able to work independently and own projects.
• In‑depth understanding of incident response processes, alert handling and security monitoring.

Required skills

• Security certifications such as CCNA, Network+, Security+, CISSP, CISM, GICSP, GCIH, GCIA, GRID.
• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk), EDR solutions and DLP technologies.
• Proficiency with network investigation tools like Wireshark and open‑source platforms such as ELK, Rekall, Ghidra, FlareVM.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix environments, NIDS/HIDS, and threat‑intel sources.
