Senior Associate Consultant – Technical Advisory (Energy & Resources)

About the role

KPMG Middle East is seeking a dynamic Senior Associate Consultant to join its Advisory – Governance, Risk and Compliance team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on Energy, Natural Resources, Manufacturing and Utilities clients, delivering risk‑based internal audit, corporate governance and enterprise risk management services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses for clients in the targeted industries.
• Develop and implement tailored risk management strategies and advisory services on regulatory compliance, governance and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions and client presentations.
• Perform internal and ISO‑based audits across technical areas such as operations, maintenance, HSE and asset management.
• Stay updated on industry trends through market research and support business development proposals.

Required profile

• Engineer with a master’s degree (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum) and relevant certifications.
• Minimum 4 years of consulting experience, preferably within a Big 4 environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and leadership abilities, with willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Experience with databases and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and technical areas such as operations, maintenance, HSE, asset management and risk management.
