Senior Associate Director – Wealth & Retail Banking

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate Director to lead client relationship and business development for Wealth & Retail Banking in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on acquiring new high‑net‑worth clients, managing a portfolio and driving revenue while ensuring compliance and excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Create strategic plans for revenue generation and drive the Digital Agenda.
• Generate new business to meet targets for customers, volumes, revenue and product mix.
• Onboard new customers sourced by branches and direct‑sales teams.
• Develop sales call plans to acquire large prospective customers through referrals.
• Maintain Sales MIS records for calls, prospects, attrition and business outcomes.
• Handle customer complaints, ensure high satisfaction and retention.
• Lead by example, foster culture and collaborate with risk and control partners.
• Ensure KYC/AML compliance, detect suspicious transactions and uphold anti‑bribery standards.
• Obtain SCA licence within six months and complete required CPD.

Required profile

• Experienced sales and relationship manager with banking and investment product expertise.
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Proven networking skills to manage inter‑departmental deliverables.
• Leadership capability that promotes team spirit and enthusiasm.
• Good understanding of the UAE market with contacts in the local HNI community.
• Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of capital markets and financial planning.
• SCA certification (or ability to obtain within six months).
