Senior Associate Engineer - Digital Hardware (Emirati Talent)

About the role

As a Digital Hardware Engineer at EDGE, you will design, develop, integrate, and verify high‑speed digital and mixed‑signal electronic systems for satellite and SDR payload applications, ensuring reliable operation in the space environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support design and development of high‑speed digital and mixed‑signal hardware for satellite and SDR payloads.
• Participate in hardware integration, bring‑up, and debugging during development and test phases.
• Prepare and review schematics, interface definitions, and technical documentation.
• Conduct laboratory verification and validation to confirm performance against requirements.
• Collaborate with firmware, RF, mechanical, and system engineering teams for end‑to‑end subsystem integration.

Required profile

• Graduates, PhD students or PhDs in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science interested in digital hardware for the space sector.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally to partner facilities.
• Good command of English.
• Desirable Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or similar.

Required skills

• Foundation in digital electronics and high‑speed mixed‑signal design principles.
• Understanding of electronic schematics, interfaces, and board‑level hardware development.
• Familiarity with signal integrity and high‑speed digital design constraints.
• Ability to support hardware design, bring‑up, debugging, and verification activities.
• Awareness of interfacing between digital hardware, firmware, and RF subsystems.
