Senior Associate (Russian Speaker) - Audit & Assurance

About the role

BDO UAE, part of the global BDO network, offers audit and assurance, advisory, tax and business outsourcing services. This Senior Associate (Russian speaker) position leads and performs external audits of clients according to BDO's audit methodology, with high-quality documentation, and assists clients in preparing or reviewing financial statements under IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and perform external audits of clients following BDO's audit methodology, ensuring quality documentation.
• Assist clients in preparing or reviewing financial statements of assigned work under IFRS.
• Manage the audit engagement: prepare the project plan, engage the client on time and deliver audit outputs effectively.
• Raise and discuss audit and accounting issues with the engagement team and the client, propose resolutions, and prepare reports with findings and recommendations agreed with the client.
• Present strengths to the Audit Committee, Board of Directors or TCWG, and anticipate client needs and business objectives, proposing relevant services and solutions.
• Provide timely, detailed client service and keep up with local regulations, IFRS and changes to audit methodology, sharing updates proactively with clients.

Required profile

• CPA, CA, ACCA affiliate or member, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in auditing, preferably with professional services firms or large multinational organisations.
• Degree in Business, Accounting or a related field.
• Proven record of engagement management.
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing).
• Fluent in Russian (reading, speaking and writing).
