Senior Associate Vice President, Equity Research MENA

About the role

Jefferies is looking for an experienced Senior Associate or Vice President to join its MENA Equity Research team in Dubai. The role covers publicly listed companies across the Middle East and North Africa, produces investment recommendations and works directly with institutional investors and corporate management teams. Professional fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of listed companies across the MENA region
• Build and maintain financial models, earnings forecasts and valuation frameworks
• Publish earnings notes, research reports, sector reviews and thematic pieces
• Generate differentiated stock ideas and investment recommendations
• Monitor economic, political, regulatory and sector developments affecting regional markets
• Take part in management meetings, earnings calls, investor roadshows and industry conferences
• Present investment views to institutional investors across the region and globally
• Work with Equity Sales, Trading, Corporate Access and Investment Banking teams
• Mentor junior analysts and associates where appropriate

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related discipline
• Experience in Equity Research, Asset Management, Investment Banking or a related analytical role
• Understanding of MENA capital markets and regional economies
• Demonstrated experience covering listed equities and producing investment research
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English, including reading Arabic disclosures and filings
• Ability to interact directly with Arabic-speaking corporate management teams

Required skills

• Advanced financial modelling, accounting and valuation
• Strong written and verbal communication and networking with senior management and institutional investors
• Preferred: CFA designation or progress towards it, existing investor relationships, sector expertise in Financials, Industrials, Real Estate, Consumer, Healthcare, Energy, Technology or Telecoms
