Senior Associate/Manager – VAT Advisory for Financial Services (Dubai)

About the role

PwC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate or Manager to join its Indirect Tax practice in Dubai. The role focuses on delivering complex VAT advisory and implementation projects for clients in the financial services and insurance sector, including banks, insurers, reinsurers and investment funds.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage large‑scale VAT engagements across the FSI sector, ensuring high‑quality delivery and client satisfaction.
• Provide strategic VAT advice tailored to the regulatory and operational challenges of financial and insurance clients.
• Leverage deep knowledge of EU VAT frameworks to support cross‑border projects and ensure compliance with international standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement VAT solutions aligned with clients’ business objectives.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Promote the use of technology and innovation to enhance service delivery.
• Uphold PwC’s professional and ethical standards, including independence requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in VAT advisory and compliance within the financial services and insurance sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise in EU VAT legislation and its application to FSI clients.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of EU VAT legislation.
• Experience with VAT planning, compliance and implementation for financial services and insurance entities.
