Senior Audiologist – Audiology

About the role

The Senior Audiologist leads the Audiology section, overseeing both clinical and administrative functions. This role ensures high‑quality hearing and vestibular services while managing staff, resources, and workflow in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise junior audiology staff and coordinate daily workload allocation.
• Manage the neonatal hearing screening program and assign duties to audiologists and assistants.
• Maintain monthly and yearly audiology statistics and produce reports.
• Determine cochlear‑implant candidacy, perform mapping, and provide counseling to patients and families.
• Conduct pure‑tone, speech, impedance, and electro‑physiological assessments.
• Promote quality improvement, safety, infection‑control, and environmental precautions.
• Develop clinical audit processes and contribute to policy planning.
• Deliver training, orientation, and supervision for department staff.

Required profile

• BSc in Speech & Hearing, Audiology, or Hearing & Speech Sciences.
• Current national professional license.
• Extensive experience in clinical audiology, including cochlear‑implant services.
• Proven leadership and staff‑development abilities.
