Senior Backend Engineer – CoreConnect

About the role

VentureOne is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the CoreConnect team, building the infrastructure layer for autonomous logistics operations. The role focuses on designing and delivering a high‑performance, scalable backend API that powers fleet orchestration across complex environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise Kotlin Spring Boot services using a Hexagonal architecture for fleet orchestration.
• Manage and integrate complex data layers (Postgres/PostGIS, TimescaleDB) and create a unified abstraction layer for diverse autonomous vehicle APIs.
• Develop real‑time data pipelines (MQTT, WebSockets) to achieve sub‑second latency for high‑frequency data ingestion.
• Enforce platform security, multi‑tenant architecture (RLS) and role‑based access control, ensuring observability and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering leadership and DevSecOps to deliver solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Mentor engineers, lead code reviews and promote a culture of operational excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong ownership mindset, ability to work autonomously and navigate ambiguity.
• Proven track record delivering reliable, high‑performance services in complex, multi‑tenant environments.
