Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build production‑grade infrastructure that powers AI‑driven agents for critical enterprise and defense applications. The role focuses on secure, high‑performance microservices that connect Large Language Models with systems such as SAP S/4HANA and Ariba.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement the orchestration layer for the “Agent of Agents” framework, managing state, routing, and error handling.
• Develop Task Router and Intent Classifier services to map user prompts to specific financial and engineering playbooks.
• Build scalable, containerized microservices on the LeverEDGE platform optimized for high concurrency and low latency.
• Create a secure Data Access Layer for SAP S/4HANA and Ariba, enforcing validation and auditability.
• Design a secure, observable connection layer to the central data lakehouse, ensuring authenticated read transactions.
• Collaborate with front‑end teams and data scientists to deliver an end‑to‑end production AI platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience in designing distributed systems and enterprise integration.
• Deep understanding of defense‑grade security and compliance requirements.
• Strong background in building on‑premise, high‑throughput backend services.
• Ability to work within a Stage Gate delivery framework and lead technical workstreams.
