Senior Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a fast‑paced, remote‑first team building scalable cloud‑native platforms for enterprise‑grade applications. You will design and develop high‑performance backend services, solve complex distributed‑system challenges, and help shape the architecture of innovative products from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud‑native backend services using Golang within a microservices architecture.
• Develop and operate distributed systems on Kubernetes across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of new product features from concept to production.
• Apply computer‑science fundamentals to address scalability, networking, concurrency, and performance problems.
• Build secure integrations with enterprise identity and authentication systems (SSO, Okta, other IdPs).
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to define technical solutions.
• Contribute across the technology stack, especially where backend services interact with infrastructure components.
• Promote best practices in reliability, observability, and maintainability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable backend systems and cloud‑based microservices.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and experience with multiple programming languages.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, operating systems, networking, concurrent programming, and distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes environments on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with enterprise‑grade authentication and identity management solutions such as Okta or other SSO/IdP platforms.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects, influence architectural decisions, and deliver production‑ready systems.
