Senior Barista

About the role

FIVE Hotels and Resorts is hiring a Senior Barista in Dubai. The role centres on crafting bespoke, hand-crafted beverages such as coffees, milkshakes, smoothies and cold-press juices, with a focus on presentation, guest experience and teamwork. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Create hand-crafted beverages and serve hot and cold drinks with attention to detail and FIVE's quality standards.
• Accurately input orders into the MICROS system and recommend drinks to guests, upselling to ensure satisfaction.
• Recall beverage recipes and adapt them to guest preferences; keep records of evolving menus.
• Carry out opening and closing duties, set up supplies and tools, clean equipment and inspect machines.
• Handle cash transactions professionally, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts and secure the bank.
• Follow health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards and company policies, reporting issues promptly.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• Proven track record of 1-2 years in a similar role.
• Fluent English (additional languages are a plus).
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Professional appearance in line with grooming standards.

Required skills

• Good communication, teamwork, time management and multi-tasking.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards and restaurant operations.
• Basic cashier duties and use of the MICROS system.
