Senior Building Technician

About the role

The Senior Building Technician will join the Wynn Oasis Engineering team at Wynn Al Marjan Island, supporting staff housing and associated facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining the building infrastructure and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of civil, electrical, mechanical and structural systems and carry out hands‑on repairs (plumbing fixtures, electrical components, HVAC support, doors, windows, tiles, ceilings, etc.).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies and complaints, coordinating with specialised trade contractors for outsourced services such as façade cleaning, waterproofing, BMU inspections and pest control.
• Support HVAC and electrical technicians during preventive‑maintenance activities and assist in renovation, refurbishment and minor civil works.
• Maintain accurate service records, job cards and inventory of tools, consumables and spare parts.
• Read basic technical drawings, riser diagrams and layout plans, ensuring compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations and permit‑to‑work procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in building maintenance preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in facilities or building maintenance with basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Physical stamina, attention to detail and ability to work in warehouse or onsite environments.

Required skills

• Basic plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance.
• Familiarity with CAFM platforms and maintenance documentation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and riser diagrams.
