Senior Business Development Manager – Employee Benefits

About the role

The client is a leading regional insurance provider operating across the GCC. They are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager – Employee Benefits to be based in the UAE. The role focuses on driving profitable growth through broker and intermediary channels, expanding market share and delivering sustainable portfolio performance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across SME, retail and large corporate segments.
• Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
• Build, manage and strengthen relationships with key brokers and intermediaries.
• Lead renewal and retention initiatives in partnership with underwriting teams.
• Oversee complex commercial negotiations, pricing, benefits and service terms.
• Monitor portfolio performance, claims trends, profitability and pipeline activity.
• Coordinate with underwriting, claims, operations, finance and other stakeholders to meet client and broker requirements.
• Manage quotations, tenders, RFPs and renewal submissions to ensure strong commercial positioning.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of the UAE insurance market, particularly employee benefits.
• Proven broker management experience with a track record of growing market share.
• Strong commercial leadership and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated success in driving portfolio growth, renewal retention and profitability.
