Senior Buyer

About the role

The Senior Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and contracting all direct material within the assigned category, aiming to mitigate commercial risk while optimizing cost and ensuring supply security. Acting as the commercial expert, the role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to develop sustainable purchasing strategies and drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier selection, negotiate contracts and secure competitive pricing for material categories.
• Develop and deploy sustainable purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain and other functions to identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage risks and propose mitigation actions.
• Maintain vendor master data and ensure compliance with export restriction regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• 7‑8 years of procurement experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Proven capability in sourcing, contracting and managing end‑to‑end procurement processes.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving and influence skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
