Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Architect

About the role

The Infrastructure Architect designs, builds and maintains the organization's core IT infrastructure, covering on-premises, cloud, hybrid and edge environments. The role sets the architectural vision, standards and roadmaps for compute, storage, networking and virtualization, and acts as a technical lead who bridges business needs with infrastructure solutions while mentoring engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions and reference architectures for on-premises, cloud (AWS, Azure, G42) and hybrid environments
• Lead cloud migration, multi-cloud and hybrid cloud initiatives, and build scalable, highly available, disaster-resilient platforms
• Optimize cloud spend and set up landing zones, network topologies, identity integration and governance guardrails
• Define SLAs, SLOs and SLIs, and architect HA and DR solutions with RTO/RPO targets and regular testing
• Embed security-by-design (zero trust, least privilege, segmentation) and meet regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA and PCI-DSS
• Champion Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Bicep) and set monitoring, observability and logging standards
• Mentor engineers, partner with application, data, security and network teams, and present architectural proposals to stakeholders
• Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate technical requirements and manage infrastructure TCO

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering or a related field (master's preferred)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect
• VMware VCDX/VCAP, Cisco CCIE/CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications
• 8-12+ years in IT infrastructure, systems engineering or cloud architecture, with at least 3-5 years in an architect role
• Proven experience designing large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure in hybrid or multi-cloud environments

• Security architecture, IAM, AD, SSO and zero-trust principles
• Cost modeling, capacity planning and vendor management
