Senior Communications Manager – Middle East

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead media relations and communications initiatives across the Middle East. You will shape stories around cutting‑edge defense and AI technologies, elevate the brand in top‑tier media, and support strategic business initiatives in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own and expand Shield AI’s earned media footprint across the Middle East, building relationships with defense, technology and business journalists.
• Develop and execute proactive media strategies tied to product milestones, contract announcements, strategic partnerships and major defense exhibitions.
• Serve as the regional point of contact for media inquiries, managing sensitive or reactive communications and preparing executives for interviews and speaking engagements.
• Monitor news, industry trends and competitive intelligence to inform communications tactics.
• Create regional content—including press releases, bylines, speeches and executive briefing materials—tailored to Middle East audiences.
• Localize global narratives for cultural nuance and stakeholder priorities while reinforcing the core brand message.
• Shape and protect Shield AI’s reputation as a credible long‑term defense technology partner, building consistent visibility and managing narrative risk.

Required profile

• 8+ years of communications experience in defense, aerospace, government or technology sectors, with a mix of in‑house and agency work.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, political science, international relations or a related field.
• Native Arabic speaker with fluent English and exceptional written and verbal storytelling abilities.
• Proven track record securing earned media coverage in GCC markets, especially UAE, KSA and Qatar.
• Deep understanding of the GCC defense and government landscape, including key stakeholders and cultural/political sensitivities.
• Strong critical‑thinking and analytical skills, ability to work autonomously and manage projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑cultural teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Interest in AI, autonomy and defense technology.
