Senior Compliance Manager

About the role

OKX is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to lead compliance initiatives in its rapidly evolving cryptocurrency business. You will develop and implement frameworks that align with local and international regulations, ensuring legal compliance while fostering innovation. This role also offers the chance to shape industry standards through collaboration with regulators and industry groups.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain internal compliance manuals, policies, procedures and systems for AML and CFT.
• Support the MLRO in ensuring OKX UAE meets regulatory obligations, including VARA guidance and best practice.
• Monitor and resolve AML/CFT cases, respond to legal and regulatory requests, and liaise with law enforcement.
• Prepare OKX UAE for independent AML/CTF and compliance testing.
• Engage cross‑functionally with Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product and Risk to implement an effective compliance program.
• Deputise for the MLRO, assess internal suspicious activity reports and report to authorities as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business administration or related field; master’s or certifications (CAMS, CCEP) preferred.
• Proven experience in compliance management, preferably as an MLRO or Deputy MLRO in crypto, fintech or financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to work with regulators and auditors on AML audits and investigations.
• Strong knowledge of AML, CTF and data protection regulations, with experience raising SARs to FIUs.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑influence skills.
• Project management, remediation and risk‑management experience.
