Senior Construction Supervisor – Civil

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Supervisor – Civil to lead civil construction activities on an onshore EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures safe, efficient execution of work in line with project specifications, quality standards, and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate civil works including earthworks, foundations, structural steel, roads, drainage, and building infrastructure.
• Monitor daily progress, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Lead contractors and subcontractors, verify availability of manpower, equipment, and materials, and resolve field issues.
• Promote safety culture, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce HSE policies.
• Ensure quality compliance through inspection plans, coordinate QA/QC activities, and manage punch‑list items.
• Track construction schedule, identify risks, and participate in progress meetings.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities, and support handover and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering with 10–15 years of civil construction experience.
• 5–8 years supervisory experience on oil & gas, EPC, petrochemical, refinery, LNG or similar projects.
• Experience with brownfield and greenfield projects and international clients such as ADNOC or Saudi Aramco.
• Valid HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of international standards: ASCE, ACIA, ASTM, BS, API.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction procedures.
• Familiarity with civil QA/QC requirements and inspection processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
