About the role
Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead telecommunications construction activities for oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role requires overseeing the full lifecycle of telecom systems, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery in line with project specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems.
- Review drawings, specifications, method statements and construction work packages.
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, engineering teams and other disciplines.
- Monitor construction progress, quality, safety and schedule compliance.
- Manage inspections, system integration, completion and hand‑over activities.
- Resolve technical and site‑related issues promptly.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in the oil & gas sector.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the GCC region.
- Extensive experience with oil & gas pipeline projects.
- Proven leadership, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.

- Fiber‑optic network expertise.
- CCTV system knowledge.
- Access control systems.
- PAGA (Public Address & General Alarm) systems.
- Radio communication systems.
- Telephone and data communication systems.
- Experience in EPC/EPCM project environments.
