Senior Construction/Installation Engineer – Structures (Jackets/WHTs)

About the role

The Senior Construction/Installation Engineer – Structures will lead planning, coordination and execution of offshore construction, load‑out, transportation, installation, hookup and commissioning of jackets, wellhead towers and related structural facilities for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction and offshore installation engineering activities for jackets, WHTs and other structural components.
• Review and validate installation methodologies, procedures and execution strategies, ensuring constructability during engineering and fabrication.
• Prepare offshore installation work packs, execution plans and provide engineering support during installation campaigns.
• Manage and supervise installation of jackets, wellhead towers, pile‑supported structures, boat landings, helideck supports, risers and brownfield modifications.
• Coordinate structural load‑out, sea‑fastening arrangements and marine spread activities, including barges, tugs and support vessels.
• Support offshore lifting, upending, positioning, piling and installation, resolving site engineering issues and ensuring compliance with project plans.
• Review lift studies, rigging plans and construction drawings, and address technical queries and field change requests.
• Promote HSE compliance, participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and incident investigations.
• Interface with engineering, fabrication, marine operations, commissioning and client teams, and attend technical reviews and progress meetings.
• Ensure quality assurance by verifying installation records, as‑built documentation and supporting punch‑list closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Marine Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 15‑18 years of offshore construction and installation experience on Oil & Gas EPC/EPCI projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior construction, installation engineering or offshore execution role.
• Proven experience installing offshore jackets, wellhead towers, pile structures, boat landings and brownfield modifications.
• Previous experience on Middle‑East/GCC offshore projects is highly preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, BOSIET/HUET, Lifting & Rigging and HSE‑related qualifications are advantageous.
