Senior Consultant Assistant Manager - Risk Management

About the role

KPMG Middle East is hiring a Senior Consultant Assistant Manager for Risk Management in Dubai. The role supports the Functional Quality and Performance Lead Partner and the Functional Risk Management Partner (and their delegate) with day-to-day advisory quality and risk management work, and leads quality and risk procedures for large transformation projects exceeding a set threshold within the Advisory service line.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the F-QPLP/F-RMP in executing day-to-day quality and risk management initiatives across the Advisory service line.
• Lead risk management processes for large transformation projects exceeding specified thresholds, ensuring compliance with global and local policies.
• Promote a culture of quality, compliance, ethics and integrity.
• Maintain a deep understanding of quality and risk management issues, including local regulatory requirements, and develop, update and enforce internal policies and guidelines.
• Identify, evaluate and address project risks, escalate policy breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare ad-hoc risk reports and presentations, address system issues with global teams, and coordinate departmental meetings.
• Streamline risk management processes to improve efficiency for client-facing teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field.
• An advanced degree (e.g. MBA) or professional certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CFE, ACAMS) is an advantage.
• Minimum 6-7 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance or a related field at a Big 4, professional services firm, multinational or financial institution.
• Knowledge of global and local quality and risk management policies, including the GQ&RM Manual and regulator requirements.
• Solution-focused approach and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and risk management tools.
